Our history
Our heritage
The delicious story of Malatya Pazarı began 148 years ago when Ali Efendi founded a modest business in his hometown. His sons Hüseyin and Hakkı took over the reins with great enthusiasm and ensured the continuation of their father's craft. In 1942, the fate of the Malatya Pazarı Kuruyemişçilik (nut shop) changed significantly when Tevfik Temelli, the Member of Parliament for Malatya, visited the brothers. His only question was, "Why don't you go to Istanbul to promote honey, nuts and apricots from Malatya?" opened a new chapter in their lives and set them on the road to success.
Eager to write a new chapter, Hüseyin settled in Istanbul with his family. His sons Çetin and Metin continued their education in Istanbul while contributing to the Mısır Çarşısı shop. This early responsibility fostered their passion for the world of taste.
Our development
In his youth, Çetin immersed himself in business and worked alongside his father until his death. Through honesty and diligence, he quickly climbed the ladder of success and expanded the number of outlets from two to three despite various problems and market prejudices.
Our commitment
Malatya Pazarı is committed to environmental protection, health and supporting local production. Our diverse range of products, which are mostly locally sourced, occupy an important and permanent place in our culture of nuts and snacks.
